Bambu Studio is a 3D printing slicer that allows you to prepare your models for printing. As you can probably tell from the interface, the app is based on Prusa Slicer, but includes a few features optimized for Bambu Lab printers. Rest assured, the app works with 3D printers from other manufacturers as well.

If you used other 3D printing software, then the interface will seem familiar, as it includes several tabs at the top to help you prepare the print. You will do most of the work in the Prepare tab, but before that you need to load your project from the Home tab. You can add an existing file, start a project from scratch or you can search for inspiration and models online. If you choose to work with an online model, then you need to install the Bambu Network plug-in. You should be able to view your model in the Prepare tab now and you can use the settings to the left to adjust quality, add filaments and select an appropriate nozzle, among other things. Once youre done tweaking, you can go to the Preview tab and the app does the slicing automatically for you. As you would expect, it may take a little bit longer with more complex models. The app provides a detailed breakdown of the printing job where you can see details about the line type, used filaments, display, etc. As previously mentioned, you can use the program with other 3D printers than Bambu Lab. The difference is that you need to add it via the Create Printer/Nozzle window. More precisely, you need to specify vendor and model, and the rest of the data is usually automatically filled in by Bambu Studio. There is also a possibility that not all features available will work with these 3D printers.
